Single Camera Production
A single camera production is simply a film production used by only one camera. With this comes many advantages with disadvantage, such as when filming in a certain scene you only have one camera. With this each shot you take on one scene will have to be shot independently. As a result of this, it's very time consuming on set as your limited to the amount you can film in that day and also whilst in the editing room binding all the shots together, compared to let's say a multi- camera film production, as you won't have to worry about setting up the camera every time you want to shoot a different angle in a shoot. Also, a huge fear and disadvantage to single camera production is that if the camera gets broken there is a huge risk that you could lose all the data on there, i.e. the scene clips. However, there are advantages to a single camera production for instance with the use of single camera production, directors feel that it appears more realistic to the audience. Also, as its only just the one camera involved it's cheaper compared to a multi camera production, simply because it's "multi" meaning more than one resulting in less cameras needed to be brought or hired. Also as there is just the one camera, it’s easy to carry around with you and a lot easier to set up.

What is A Multi Camera Production
A multi Camera production is simply when you film with more than just the one camera like single camera production. With the access with more than just the one camera comes with many examples, for instance the most obvious one is that the cameras will cover more areas, as there are more cameras. Also, with the use of more cameras you have that ability to shoot the exact same shot in a different angle to capture different actions they may be happening in the background in which you cant see with just the one camera. However with all advantages come disadvantages. The main disadvantages to a multi camera production is that it will obviously take longer to set up as you will have more cameras, also more cameras will be more expensive to buy or hire compared to a single camera production.
