Gavin And Stacey:
Within the ending of this this episode of Gavin And Stacey and most commonly all of the episodes of Gavin and Stacey, they like to end on a positive note leaving the audience laughing or amused. As a result of the episodes ending like so, this gives an effect on the audience of them wanting to see more, furthermore in addition to this episode ending, the other effect is that it leaves the audience not knowing what is going to happen and in away acts as a cliff hanger for the audience for example when Nessa and Smithy both were muddy and they tried to hide what they have been doing but the rest of the group know exactly what they have been doing, this leaves the audience wanting to watch more for the reaction they will get from the others in the room. The lighting within this scene even though it is dark natural light is actually quite light and high key and very harsh.
Outnumbered series 4, episode 5
Similar to Gavin Stacey the use of having a comedy cliff-hanger is very effective as again it leaves the audience in suspense, and with this the use of the text “to be continued…” is also effective as it leaves the audience wondering what might happen next will it be a good or bad resolution. The lighting within the ending of the scene and episode is again high key and no low key and soft lighting involved as the episode wants the audience to laugh and not have an eerie feeling towards the film. Furthermore the shots within the ending if Outnumbered varies for instance there are medium range shots of the girl in the lounge and then afterwards close ups of the man and women within the scene.
Miranda, Series 3 episode 8
Within the ending of this episode of Miranda we see the marriage of Miranda herself and her fiancé where they both are getting married. Within marriages they tend to be serious however within there marriage this isn’t the case. The end scene shows the couple saying their vowels however within their vowels the make up promises that are quite funny. The ending is shown on one set, the restaurant, and within the set most, if not all characters are being shown. The end scene then ends with Miranda talking to the camera using the camera shot of a medium close up, midway her Miranda’s talk background music plays that begins faded out then towards the end of Miranda speaking it increases emphasising the end of the show. Once Miranda is finished, the camera then pans across the actor’s individually showing the actors real names with them waving good bye, this is very effective as it makes the audience feel as if the audience is involved and part of Miranda’s life
